I'm Matt, from near Boston, US. I've been traveling around since May 2017. Mostly Mexico, Europe and SE Asia. I'm in Izmir, Turkey right now. About to go back to the US for a couple of weeks to see my friend be married.

Been working as a software engineer for about 15 years. I just left a job and took a few months off to relax, now I'm looking around for another.

Recently spent a week in Koh Tao, Thailand and learned how to scuba dive. Loved that.

I haven't been to China yet, but I can't spend too much time in Taiwan or Hong Kong because I am addicted to dumplings, xiaolongbao, and beef noodle soup.

I have had a profile on nomadlist for a while, and I just discovered this place today. Strong forum. Looking forward to digging in more.

Hi to everyone,
I'm Fatemeh, from Iran. I have joined this forum to introduce my country to people around the world, because as you may all know, many people in many countries still believe Iranians are terrorists and it is not safe to travel to Iran. but the truth is, anyone who has traveled to Iran, has changed their mind completely.
I work in a travel agency and I love to invite everyone to visit Iran and feel how beautiful it is. Talking to Iranians and getting familiar with Ian culture and history is the best experience you may have during all your trips.
This is the travel guide part of our website:
https://www.irandestination.com/iran-ci ... vel-guide/
just take a look at it and see the wonders in Iran.

I hope to find so many good friends here :) :D

Hi there !

My name is Benjamin , I am from the UK but currently live in Albany NY, USA.

I have been working in healthcare most of my adult life and have a BSC in Nursing .

I have worked as an Emergency Room Nurse for about 3 years and also worked in just about every other area of healthcare.

Due to some ongoing health issues which are made worse by the stress of nursing i have decided to become a digital nomad as quickly as I can.

The ideal job for me is one where i can work from home or any location as my health and energy levels can be up and down throughout the day , there is also the possibility that we will be moving so that we are closer to a specialist who treats me.

I do not really know where to start as I have only come to this decision a coupe of days ago . I am starting to teach my self the basics of coding through a youtube course which is a start.

Any advice or even offers of work would be very much appreciated!

Best wishes

Hi, I'm Monique!

I want out of the rat race! That may be a bit of hyperbole, because I'm a pretty happy gal, but I'm really not cut out for a desk job. I'm searching for work I can do remotely so I can realize my dream of living abroad (I'm currently living in Minnesota, USA). I also want to spend time with my folks, who live about 2K miles from me, while they are still on this earthly plane.

I've got lots of skills and always willing to learn more. I joined your group to get some insights into what others are doing in the online realm.

I can do almost everything communications-related (writing, editing, proofreading, layout, promotions, media relations), but I'm considering learning something that may pay more and be more portable worldwide, such as bookkeeping. Anyone have any experience with this?

Hi everyone, my name is Crystal. I am not a digital nomad, however, I assume my job description will soon get in touch with digital nomads. I am working in a company and we are going to create a co-working space in Holland that will be the most affordable co-working space in the country.

My reason to join this forum is to gain as much insight as possible from you guys (DNs) about working in a co-working space and what to like and dislike working in one.

Looking to talking to you soon!

Hello everyone!

I am Bayan from Bristol. I am currently working remotely for a Big Data storage start-up specializing in monitoring of performance metrics in Apache Cassandra. I have a background in theoretical Physics and am looking for a similar remote back end role with a component of algorithms and analytics.

Looking forward to hearing from all of you!
Hello all!

My name is Blass, and I'm an aspiring digital nomad currently living in Brooklyn, New York. I grew up in locales as different as Taiwan, New Mexico, and west Tennessee, and so the nomadic spirit has always been a part of me. Since graduating college, I've worked everything from retail, administrative support, and most recently, high end luxury sales at top-grossing designer furniture showrooms. I'm looking to get into remote work, and am considering drop shipping and online english teaching/tutoring. I lived in Taiwan and studied Chinese history, and I have experience working as an aide at an elementary school through college. I'm looking to transition to a digital lifestyle, and I'd love to hear from you guys about a few things:

-How do you negotiate health insurance/health concerns when you freelance and even travel from country to country?
-Where/how do you file taxes? Do you even need to?
-Where do you look for employment? Are there companies/forums where I could go to for potential opportunities?
-How do you assess costs of living for places you've never been or for employment situations that change regularly?
-In your search for remote work, did you pursue work in a specific field that you already had experience in or did you make a career change?

I'd love to chat with you guys, either on here or via instagram. Find me on instagram here, and send me a message; it's the easiest way to get ahold of me.

I'm Mark Nelson, videographer and the proud new owner of a used MB 170" sprinter! It has impressed me so far. I'm setting it up to work in video and AV productions, but with a 5 year goal of converting it to cool camper. So it is an empty shell ready for 1st step ground floor planning. A liftgate is job one. So I have to downgrade my step bumper, which
I will miss because it is awesome for rear van work access.

So I have a 2014 step rear bumper that I need to remove and replace with a no-step bumper. If another Nomad or local Sprinter owner (2006-2017?) wanted to upgrade from the standard bumper to the step bumper in the So Cal area, we should consider a bumper swap!
