I think this tool deserves a bit more attention. Aside from a grammar check, it helps with academic style, passive voice, wordiness, run-on sentences, and other common pitfalls.

It isn't 100% perfect but gives Grammarly Premium a run for its money.

There is no chrome extension that I'm aware of; just the web app.

It is 100% free and open source, meaning that you can even copy the code and create your own grammar check app.
