Growth Hacking Tip #1

It's actually 4 tips from Adam Gingery!

As an SEO Specialist & Copywriter, here are my four favourite ways to get free, legitimate growth:

JournoRequests - https://www.journorequests.com/

This services sends PR opportunities to your inbox multiple times per day (for FREE!). You have to filter through a bunch of low-quality queries to find the good stuff, but it’s an easy tool that can pay off. I just landed a hit on HowStuffWorks.com for my music history podcast (http://www.backstagepodcast.com)! This service also works great if you are trying to land a source for an article or video. Simply submit your query within the character limitations! Note: Most of the communication occurs through Twitter.

HARO - Help a Reporter Out - https://www.helpareporter.com/

“HARO” functions like JournoRequests, except the communication happens through encrypted email addresses similar to Craigslist. It’s also free for both journalists and sources. I’ve found the quality of opportunities on HARO is higher than JournoRequests (JR mostly features bloggers; HARO has many reporters), and you don’t need Twitter. That brings me to #3...

I recommend replying to popular tweets with additional information or helpful comments (don’t make lame “Good job!” comments). Follow influencers and regularly engage with their tweets, and you will see regular traffic to your account.

Email Hunter

Don’t waste time with the “Contact Form” section of a website. Use this free email hunting tool to track down the right contact and increase your chances of a response.

So how are these “growth hacking?” Many businesses fail to see the importance of PR (see point 1 and 2), and they give up on Twitter too soon. Trust me, if you reply to a journalist’s question with a great response, you have a very good chance of being recognized! These free services can grow traffic, earn links quickly, boost SEO, and do so much more!

Email Signature Promotion

Sounds like an overly simple one but including offers and links in your email signature is a free and simple growth hack to drive more users to a certain offer. With everyone in our office using this idea it helps generate targeted traffic quickly and for free!

Growth Geeks is a market place where start ups , small businesses, and entrepreneurs can hire growth specialists to perform tasks from SEO, to content creation, to landing page optimization and beyond. Growth Hacking Tip #4

Gleam - https://gleam.io

gleam.io.jpg (48.65 KiB) Viewed 5175 times

I'm a huge fan of https://gleam.io which is a tool which growth hackers can use to create everything from competitions to giveaway products or services in return for likes, social following or other actions.

This is a really great way for start-ups and new platforms to quickly gain traction, who doesn't like free things right? I've found that there are a HUGE amount of blogs and websites which specialize in showing their audience where they can join contests or apply for free products. Therefore this tool can be combined with outreach to these sites to build traffic and momentum on their contests.

It's also FREE! Which means that there's no reason not to use it. It could be as simple as a graphic design company offering a free logo as a prize or a new beauty company offering a bottle of their product to the winner.

Ludlow.io - https://www.ludlow.io/

Huge fan of Ludlow, I send out quite a few email newsletters and this platform helps me automate them to a point where I'm spending 5/min per newsletter as opposed to the few hours I was spending beforehand.

Growth Hacking Tip #5

We've got two platforms in this tip! We actually use the first tip on the forum and it works well for us too :)

dlvr.it - https://dlvrit.com/

dlvr.it.jpg (51.96 KiB) Viewed 5028 times

Dlvr.it is probably my favourite growth hacking platform, andI think it will just continue to get bigger in 2017. It’s a social media automation platform that lets you post content from all your websites to your all your social media platforms. It’s a one-stop shop for you to brand your business, and to ensure that your content is constantly updated on all your social media channels. But what’s also cool about Dlvr is that it tells you which of your posts got the most reads/attention, and you can program your posts to the specific date and time you choose. Dlvr offers a basic plan that is completely free, which lets you basically give the platform a test-run to see if you want to upgrade to a paid plan.

But as much as I love Dlvr.it, I also can’t live without...

SpyFu - https://www.spyfu.com/

spyfu.jpg (39.32 KiB) Viewed 5028 times

SpyFu, which not only has the best name (good marketing at work), but also does wonders for my SEO strategy. SpyFu is a service that tells me the most common keywords that other marketing agencies in my industry (the competition) are using, and also gives me keywords that I should be using that could be profitable for my business. Keywords are one of the biggest factors in how a business ranks on search engines, and if you use too many keywords or the wrong keywords, your business will not rank high and you will damage your marketing strategy. SpyFu doesn’t offer a free trial, but it does offer 10 free keyword searches to see how the service works. I highly recommend it, because I think marketers will find real value in SpyFu.

Growth Hacking Tip #7

inbound.org - https://inbound.org/

inbound.org.jpg (51.91 KiB) Viewed 4935 times

Some of the growth hacking platforms that I use are HARO, Quora, Growth Hackers and Inbound. All have their own features. My favourite growth hacking platform is Inbound.org. It is a great platform for digital marketers, both for their personal and professional growth. Inbound has all industry experts members including influencers and young aspiring professionals. You can share articles as well as write original content there. There is a separate discussion board where you can ask anything related to digital marketing. The sections are divided into main digital marketing domains including Advertising, Community, Conversion Rate Optimization, E-Commerce, Email, Social, Future of Marketing and many others.

There is a wonderful section of Top Rankingswhere top users/influencers are listed as well as top marketing blogs and topMarTech companies. There is a members section where you can search membersthrough their names, locations or expertise etc. Another Add-on feature is theJob Section.

The best benefit of this platform is the sharing of top industry articles and very constructive discussion. You can drive a targeted audience to your website or blog through it. As I am relatively new here and trying to build a good profile. There is lot more to explore to make most of this wonderful platform.
