We are looking for interesting, quirky, unusual and entertaining videos from South East Asia – basically anything that would be of interest to someone planning to travel to Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Singapore, Myanmar, Laos or the Philippines.
Examples of the types of subjects that we are interested in include: interesting or weird street food, unusual means of transport, encounters with animals etc. Basically anything that might seem unusual to a Western tourist.
The final videos will be between 1 and 2 minutes long.
Therefore the submitted video can either be an edited video of that length, or longer raw footage straight from your camera or phone. The main thing is that the video is entertaining - if the video is completely unedited, then the subject matter needs to be very interesting. You may already have some interesting footage, or perhaps an interesting subject that you could make a short video about.
The videos should be at least HD quality preferably recorded using a DSLR/Mirrorless camera, but we will also accept high quality footage from a phone or action camera. The Videos must be landscape orientation – we will not accept any portrait videos.
You must own the rights to the video,, it must be previously unpublished, and you must agree to transfer all rights to the work to us if we accept the video submission. Once we have accepted the video, we will have exclusive rights to it, and you will not be able to use it again, or sell it to anyone else.
If you use any music in the video, it must be royalty free. Details of the origin of any music used should be submitted with the video (e.g. YouTube Music Library).
We will pay $20 per accepted submission, so this could be a nice little earner for someone who is travelling in or resides in the region.
