I'm a little bit too excited to switch up for a Tom. Might keep the Osprey for hiking trips because it's still a fantastic backpack!

I actually find it harder to focus if I'm connected online, possibly even harder than if people are around me. i.e having Slack or Messenger open. I also like to work for a few hours and then goof off or have a nap or do some exercise which is often more accomplishable at home lol. Standard office e...

I've met quite a few Brexit escapees in South East Asia! Other than online websites like UpWork, I recommend outreaching directly to companies you want to work for. It's a numbers game, so if you send out enough well-crafted emails (and of course if you're good at what you do) you should be able to ...

Hey @coffeeandlappy - I 100% get where you're coming from with this. Here are a few thoughts : 1. You're there! You have a way to earn money remotely and make a living off of it. You're far ahead. 2. You may get bored... or you may love it. I personally think that it's WAY easier to get bored when y...

I'm doing sprints where I work a lot for a month or two (30-40 hours a week) and then take time to chill from client work for a few months. I find this suits me better right now, but before I started this I was working 5 hours a week which was sustainable for South East Asia where I was living. More...

I use an Osprey, but after talking with some long term nomads I have changed my mind and will be switching before my next trip. Don't get me wrong I love my Osprey, but I've found that mine doesn't have the pockets I need to stay organized and is more suited to hiking / a lot of walking. I guess I'm...

Glad you've found success uk2asia! Unfortunately there is a subset of people in the nomad world selling snake oil... and in actuality are only making money off of teaching other people how to make money (and not actuality doing the original thing they're teaching). I think it also super depends on the type of work you do. I would die if I had to pack a desktop computer, and some people couldn't do without full camera gear!

I'm doing the backpacker digital nomad thing. Traveling with a 35L carry-on is quite-light but it forced me to only take what I need. Generally I'll stay at a location for a few weeks and hit up some co-working spaces, hostels, tourist sites, and I'll work every other day. I'm going to move towards ...
